At times I get overcome with the sorrows of the world.
As much as I believe the world is filled with goodness, kindness, and wonderful people doing amazing things, sometimes I forget that truth will always win.
I see the struggles, the wars, the strife, the starvation, the cruelty, and it seems like it is too much to heal.
But maybe it is that the goodness is not broadcast as is the sorrows. Maybe we don't celebrate the goodness as much as we proclaim the horrors?
Which brings me to the purpose of this life. It is my attempt to remind myself that goodness exists; to help me focus on all the good happening in the world, to keep me hopeful that the great and gracious people of the world will prevail.
