Self Improvement - Seven Tips

Self improvement is the art of continuously becoming: you are in a state of flux when you are improving and that is something you should endeavour to be doing constantly. If you can bear in mind the old adage, 'every day, in every way, I am getting better and better', then you will understand the mindset you need to adopt in order to engage in a life of continuously improving until you become the person you need to be in order to reach your goals.
  • Slow and steady wins the race. In other words, learn to be a tortoise and not a hare. It is not the speed at which you are moving, it is the constant steady movement with fixity of purpose that will get you to where you want to be.Fight until mission accomplished.
  • Don't compare yourself to others. Along the way to your important goals, there are likely to be those who just seem to zoom past you without too much effort. This can be a very discouraging event, but learn to take it in your stride. Simply ignore what your competitors are doing and concentrate your energy on your own efforts.
  • Stay malleable, not rigid, in your approach. You need to be rigid in your determination, but not in your approach. Be prepared to change the route to get to your goal. This is not changing the goal in any way, just recognising that, in order to achieve great things, sometimes we need to be flexible.
  • Find cooperative partners. When you have set those really big goals, you will probably need to find other people to work with. So make a point of finding partners you can trust with whom you can work to your mutual benefit.
  • Fill the need. Remember that you will succeed when you render service in some way. So identify who you are involved in serving, catalogue their needs and then be the provider of value to those people. Learn how to do this better than everyone else and you cannot fail.
  • Concentrate on providing value not reward. Remember you are providing value, not chasing reward. Concentrate on providing that value and the reward will follow. Money is a by-product of doing something else very well and universal law will ensure you are always rewarded.
  • Look after yourself. Take time off from working regularly - make this a habit in itself. Remember to identify and celebrate your little successes along the way. Treat yourself and those around you and enjoy where you are, right now, in your own personal journey.

My Wish My Reality

A Dilemma
When I did something for mankind without any selfishness then I expect no money, no power, no bragging, but extremely need applauses positively.
I feel that whatever I did could never go in vain. When you respect others and fight to save their self respects then I can never ask them to keep respecting me, loving me because if I ask then it would be insult of mankind. Yet I have family  (parents, wife, bro, son) and all are having as they deserve but I am lamenting as I am not satisfied with the environment that I am giving to my wife & son. Ofcourse, not bad but is not good also.
I haven't lost my zeal, I can make more dreams into reality but still it's hard to accept that peoples can forget those deeds.
I am not expecting the way it is getting.

Communicate with Thoughts

6 months passed, I got strange communication system  of thoughts and there are people of opposite gender specially. I have something to render powers by interconnecting through Thoughts.

Tips for Optimism & Joy

  1. Connection to Others “…at the very heart of your being.”
Make a list of friends you haven't contacted in a while but would like to, and call them.
  2. Autonomy “…a feeling of independence and a sense of being in control…”
Go to as many local establishments rather than chains as possible and strike up a conversation with the proprietor or service people.
  3. Self-Esteem “…a function of how you perceive others view you.”
Catch yourself every time you make a self-deprecating comment.
  4. Competence “…relates to how effective you feel you are.”
Ask the people in your life to tell you when they think you've done something well.
  5. Purpose “…fulfillment and meaning throughout your life.”
Ask your friends and acquaintances to describe what they see as their purpose beyond making money or caring for others.
  6. Connection to Your Body “...vital to our complete sense of self...”
Throw out all your magazines that feature impossibly perfect-looking men or women on the covers.
  7. Connection to Nature “…its permanence, its beauty and power…”
Walk in a park or other natural area for twenty minutes each day. Pat at least one dog and talk to its owner.
  8. Spirituality “…a powerful weapon against depression...”
Make a list of all the things you believe in that give you comfort.

Should Poverty remain part of Civilization

It must be accelerate the Poverty Eradication Plans Implementation to get the target before year 2015.

As a report published by Socialwatchindia.net (NGO) National Social Watch Coalition India (NSWC) has been formed primarily to establish citizens role in monitoring the performance of the institutions of governance, making them more accountable and transparent to promote effective governance in the realm of social development in India.

NSWC is associated with the international Social Watch ( www.socialwatch.org) process which is a civil society response to pursue the agenda of World Social Summit held in Copenhagen that the state should pursue and demonstrate changes in social development parameters beyond the economic development.

Basic Capability Index : India cannot eradicate poverty by 2015: that is the assessment of the Social Watch, an NGO which monitors governance across globe. Its Basic Capabilities Index (BCI) was released in February. Social Watch coordinator Roberto Bissio told Governance Now that India’s progress has been fast in the recent years, but the poor are becoming poorer since the launch of economic liberalisation. Excerpts from an interview with Bissio:

Tell us about the global report.

The global report, which is also called Basic Capabilities Index (BCI) gives India 68 points, an increase of four points since 2004. India’s social sector is lagging behind and it can’t eradicate poverty by 2015. India figures in the same bracket as sub-Saharan Africa. In fact, the situation of the South Asia region is quite bad.

What is the significance of the report?

The countries and regions of the world are becoming increasingly polarised in spite of their international commitments to fight poverty. It is a fact that India is not progressing at desirable levels and it will not be able to achieve the basic needs of its population by 2015, the deadline for meeting the Millennium Development Goals.

What should Indian policy makers do?

There is no dearth of creative public policy schemes but the problems lies in the implementation at the grassroots, so the government has to be accountable in this regard. The whole issue is about the government accountability.

How is Basic Capabilities Index calculated?

The Basic Capability Index is an annual monitoring report on the evolution of basic social development indicators of over 130 countries on 100 points. It judges countries on three categories: the percentage of children who reach the fifth year of primary school, the mortality rate among children under five-year old and the percentage of births attended by skilled health personnel. It does not include monetary income to calculate its figure.
